“Go for it. Use the retreat experience as a catalyst to progress your photography. You get to meet a wide range of people from across the world. Everyone is friendly and gets on with each other.”

The Location.

With rolling hills, epic surf beaches, tranquil bays, beautiful landscapes and of course the internationally renowned wine region, the Fleurieu Peninsula is one of Australia’s not-so-secret gems. Famous for its quieter pace of life and friendly locals, the area is perfect for an imaging focussed Retreat thanks to so many stunning locations in close proximity.

The weather here leaves us at the end of Autumn, and it is typically mediterranean with May temperatures between 13 and 22 degrees celcius, mild calm days with some cloud and rain at times. This gives us full days to work with dogs outdoors, avoiding the typical Australian summer heat.

Extend your trip to make a holiday of your time here. Learn to surf, kayak with dolphins, hike in one of the many national parks, taste wine, visit the outback, the options are varied! And if there’s interest, you can join a small group on tour to Kangaroo Island or Outback SA with Kirstie who lived here!

Tickets from €2790

We’ve worked hard, together, to create ticket options that remain affordable whilst ensuring the spaces are capped very low for a single-group immersive experience.

Tickets will be available on a strictly first-come first served basis to anyone who has completed the registration form in the section below. Although the plan is subject to change slightly, we’re fairly confident on these listed inclusions.

Tickets Includes

  • All training sessions

  • A One-to-One for either image review or business advice

  • Retreat Space

  • Shared room on the property

  • All meals except one restaurant option

  • All transport* during the 6 days

*All flights and airport transfers are not included however we will have private transport to and from Adelaide on day one and six, as well as throughout the event to get you to and from shooting locations, restaurants and so on!

Payment Options

  • Shared Room

  • First payment is made at the time of ticket purchase. The following 5 instalments will be auto-charged every 30 days following, for five instalments.

This payment plan is for a Shared Room.

Should you upgrade to private room, the additional €500 will be charged immediately.

  • Sole occupancy rooms are for 1 person only.

Due to the nature of this retreat, we're keen to keep it just to attendees inside the accommodation itself.

  • Australian residents may be eligible for a 12 month payment plan through PayRight. Contact Kirstie to learn more: kirstie@thepetphotographersclub.com

FAQs

  • No, you don’t need to be aligned with us to join the Retreat.

  • Spaces are only secured when a payment is successful on a ticket.

Tickets will be released only to those who have completed the pre-registration form above.

  • The closest airport is Adelaide which has great international connections and, of course, internal connections for the rest of Australia and New Zealand too. If you’re coming by plane we recommend arriving the day before (or prior for international flights) and there’s a direct bus into the city.

We’ll meet you in Adelaide for our first day, and then travel onwards to the accommodation in provided transport.

If you’re coming by car, we’ll send out the address for the house close to the time but you’ll be going further down the peninsula to find our home for the week.

  • Due to the nature of the Retreat, accomodation is for Retreat attendees only. If you have a loved one travelling with you for a longer trip, Kirstie would be more than happy to give some local tips for their own travels while you’re with us!

  • We won’t have any scheduled business classes however we have allocated time for one-on-one and flexible small group sessions which would be perfect for business advice.

  • Never say never, but there is nothing on the cards for a repeat in 2024, 2025 or beyond.

  • Kirstie called Adelaide home for her adult life until she moved to Italy.
She’s travelled the region extensively and is proud to share her insider tips!

And when we say travelled extensively, that even includes hiking the 1200km from the outback to the ocean.

Her absolute favourite place is the Flinders Ranges in outback South Australia. If there’s interest, we can do a two or three day trip up there to see sheep mustering, hike in gorges and even take an optional flight over Lake Eyre!

Alternatively, Kangaroo Island is equally as stunning and almost as isolated! Kirstie will be hiking, but you can spend your time tasting the local gin if you prefer!

Either way- the plan will be formed once we know who’s keen and what the budgets are!
